Hi All,
Yet again another occasion for me to call upon the collective wisdom of the forum.

The diesel water warning light came on yesterday and despite draining the filter it remains on. Could the switch be stuck? Maybe I need to change the filter?

PS My son and I successfully fitted the second fuel tank to the Navara and it all works fine to our great surprise. Not sure what the response will be at the next rego check when the guy sees a fuel gauge inside the left rear wheel arch whioch is only activated when the parking lights are turned on!

Good evening Australia. Hope you’re as good on making biodiesel as you are in playing cricket and rugby. I’ve discovered on the internet that I can make biodiesel from butter. But now I want to know if I can skip the butter part and use the milk cream directly to make biodiesel. I’ll appreciate any suggestions. I’ve got access to a lot of contaminated milk that cannot be sold. Thank you very much and may everybody have a very nice day. HMS

Fondue fuel makes Biodiesel!!!
It is not as clear, but it is Biodiesel. Black glycerine on the bottom and clear bio on top. The problem with this is that is takes alot longer. It took about a week for the seperation to take place. I don’t think it is a high grade of bio but it does work. cheers, dan

New oil, use as SVO or make bio?
I have a batch of new but tainted olive oil. Should I make biodiesel with it or use it direct? Should I make biodiesel with my worst oil or use the good stuff?

Hi

I have just purchased a 300D and moved it to BD about 700 kms ago .. all is well :).

I know that BD is hard on “rubber” seals etc through the fuel system. As I would like to prolong the life of IP etc, and I have the gear to setup a 2 tank system .. would it be useful to purge with diesel at the end of every trip (so everything is cleared of BD and sitting in diesel).

I will probably set up a 2 tank system for winter anyway (later) so that I can contiune to use BD

Your thoughts gents

Stuart

Frytol solid oil - what can you use it for?
Hi, I have come across 2 restaurants which have 44’s of used frytol oil going begging. Can it be used as a blend to make it liquid? or is it only good for BD production? I want it for SVO conversion. Thanks Doug.
